My Biography

Director/Owner - Arete Galanis, LCSW, ATAS

Education:

I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Queens College and a Masters in Clinical Social Work from New York University. I am a trained psychotherapist from the New York University School of Medicine where I have received extensive training in child development and adult psychotherapy. I have now served as the director of this daycare for almost five years.

Employment History:

I have worked as a social worker and psychotherapist for eight years in hospital, school and clinic settings both with children, adults and families. I am still in private practice part time.

Personal experience:

I am a wife and mother of two children that spend time in our daycare as well.  My goals are to remain in daycare as a director and to continue to serve my community as a social worker and psychotherapist.
