Christie McKenna – Onsite Provider, Assistant to head teacher, Music Together Instructor, Zumba Teacher

Christie has over 10 years of experience as a nanny. Christie has worked for ALOD for almost 9 years in assistant and administrative roles. She is a creative and caring individual who contributes to the overall excellent service that ALOD strives to deliver. Christie also has a music background.  She was recently certified as a Music Together instructor and is in the process of starting a Music Together program at ALOD. She now also runs our baby Zumbini program and Zumba for children.

Ghizlan Ajamahal – Assistant

Ghizlan has worked with ALOD for over two years. She has experience with all early childhood classrooms.

Toddler Classroom – “2L” (15 months- 3 y.o. classroom)

Jennifer Acosta – Onsite Provider/Head Teacher

Jennifer has obtained her Bachelors in Psychology from St. Francis College in 1996. She has worked professionally as a nursery and preschool teacher and teacher’s assistant for over eleven years. She has worked for ALOD since 2008. She is the teacher in the Toddler classroom. Jennifer has great energy and creativity and works very hard on developing a challenging and exciting curriculum for her classroom.

Joanne Bione – Assistant

Joanne has been a nanny for over twenty years. She has a Bachelors in Psychology from Molloy College. She has a lot of knowledge of infant and toddler development. She has been an assistant for over three years and works primarily with our toddlers with Jennifer. Joanne contributes to our classrooms’ effectiveness in learning through play. She loves to engage the children socially and provides a structured day for our toddlers.

Priscilla Coriano- Assistant                                                   

Priscilla has been working at ALOD for three years.  She comes to us with over 10 years of infant teacher and child care experience.  She has her Associates degree with a concentration in Early Childhood.  Priscilla brings energy and a positive experience to our infants and toddlers daily through her creative curriculum and loving personality.

Infant Classroom “1L” (6 weeks- 15 month old)

Wafaa Elalfy – Onsite Provider 6 to 15 month old Assistant                                        

Wafaa has earned her experience with infants as a nanny for over 10 years. She began as an aide for the 0-12 month old infants and currently works with our older infants  . She has worked for ALOD for over 10 years. Wafaa provides an exceptional nurturing environment and great supervision and care for our infants. She brings an authentic care taking experience into our classroom.

Sophia Mistridis- Infant Teacher

Sophia holds a Bachelors in early childhood education. She has experience with all early childhood age groups. She joined our team a few months ago.

Hoda Abdelhalim – Assistant Teacher 6 week – 6 month old infants                                    

Hoda has worked for ALOD for one year and comes to us with private caregiver experience.  Hoda is patient, loving and has all the necessary characteristics to keep our infants safe and comfortable throughout the day.

Rocio Gallardo – Aide

Rocio has been with ALOD for 4 years. Rocio has experience as a nanny for a few years. Rocio has a very loving personality. She is an important part of our team and provides great care to our infants and our entire daycare. She works supports both the older and younger infant classrooms.

Suzana Karafili – Assistant / Aide Fill In                                                                                    

Suzana has worked for ALOD for almost a year now.  She comes to us with private nanny experience as well.  She is a hard worker who provides a is a contributor to ALOD’s safe and nurturing infant environment.

Samar Salama- Infant Teacher/Aide Fill In

Samar has a social work background and a teaching background.  She has been with us for 4 years. She works has experience filling in with both younger and older infant age groups. She has a very calm disposition and cares for all our children in a gentle and loving manner.

Ana Lopez – Infant Aide

Ana has been with ALOD for almost a year. She comes to us with private nanny experience. She fills in for staff and also creates and teaches our Spanish curriculum. Ana sings, reads and plays with the children in Spanish.
